Abstract

Business intelligence systems are becoming increasingly important in many organizations. This also applies to public administration. BI systems are increasingly becoming an application for broad user groups. As part of the BI-F2022 research project, a diary study was conducted to identify application scenarios and improvement measures for an implemented BI system. The diary study was conducted in three departments in the Flensburg city administration. 17 application scenarios and 32 improvement measures were collected. With the diary study, improvement potentials and gaps in the support of the identified application scenarios could be identified. By further systematizing the collected data, important areas for future developments could be identified in a complementary manner.
