Abstract

Digital transformation is a challenge for companies of all types. Ironically, it is precisely the IT systems used to date with their rigid structures that often slow down companies in their digital transformation. Even though software manufacturers have long since reacted and are offering new, more flexible versions of their products, a major software change is still a challenge for companies and a step that needs to be well thought out and planned. This paper therefore presents a procedure to generate at least the most important results of the transformation on the existing data models in real time using in-memory technology and virtualization. This provides enough time to carry out the actual transformation of the IT landscape in a planned manner and with the necessary care.
